SPOKANE, Wash. — The start of September has brought incredible heat to the region. One local nonprofit scrambled to keep those they serve comfortable during the heat wave while also already worrying about the winter.
“Our furnace is on its last leg…over 15-years-old and the AC has gone out,” said Corbin Senior Activity Center Executive Director, Claudia Ouwerkerk.
