PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died following a collision with a car in Northeast Portland’s Woodlawn neighborhood last week.
The Crash
The crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. on September 2 near the intersection of Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Lombard Street. Officers with the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) responded quickly after receiving reports of a serious accident.
At the scene, police found the motorcyclist suffering from critical injuries. Emergency crews provided immediate aid before transporting him to a local hospital. Despite those efforts, the rider was later pronounced dead.
Victim Identified
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Alexander James of Happy Valley. Authorities confirmed his identity this week as part of the ongoing investigation.
James’ death adds to the troubling number of fatal traffic incidents in Portland this year, underscoring continued concerns about roadway safety for both drivers and motorcyclists.
Other Injuries
The driver of the car involved sustained minor injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital. Police have not released details about the driver’s condition or whether any citations have been issued…
