Grand Canyon Death a Mystery

A Colorado man tragically died Sunday after his car plunged several hundred feet from the rim of the Grand Canyon.

National Park Service (NPS) officials confirmed that around 12:40 p.m., they received reports of a vehicle with a single occupant going over the edge near the South Kaibab Trailhead. Rangers responded swiftly and located the body approximately 300 feet below.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Steven “Drew” Bradley of Federal Heights, Colorado. His body was recovered by helicopter and transported to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.

While the NPS has not released details about the circumstances leading to the incident, they included information regarding the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in their statement. The NPS and the Coconino County Medical Examiner are jointly investigating the incident. No further details are available at this time.
