Man faces felony charges after heroin found in vehicle during Albany traffic stop

Albany, NY (WRGB) — According to New York State Police, 32-year old Luccas Serriano from Schenectady was arrested following a traffic stop in Albany after State Police discovered heroin in his vehicle. On September 8, 2025, at approximately 2:18 PM, State Police from SP Albany Thruway stopped a vehicle at the intersection of North Pearl Street and Loudonville Road for vehicle and traffic violations.

Authorities say, during the stop, troopers identified inconsistencies in the Serriano’s statements. A K9 unit, “Jay,” did an exterior sniff of the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed 6.3 grams of heroin packaged in glassine baggies inside the glove compartment.
