MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – A local sheriff’s department used a drone to help track down a missing woman.

According to a press release from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a missing woman around 5:30 p.m. on Friday in Harrisville Township.

According to the sheriff’s office, the 83-year-old woman was fishing with her husband but never returned home.

The husband returned home around 3:30 p.m. and was unable to find her, deputies said.

After a search of the property, deputies got out their next tool: An “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” – a drone. That allowed deputies to search a much larger area.
