A Vass woman was accidentally shot when her dog attacked her on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on Richfield Court at approximately 10:45 a.m. The road is off U.S. 1 near Cox Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.
The patient was airflited to a trauma center from a makeshift landing zone in Vass.
Chief Deputy Andy Conway with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department said that this “appears to be an accidental shooting. A woman was being attacked by her own dog, and her husband shot the dog, accidentally striking her.”…
