Ramseur mayor discusses new development

RAMSEUR, N.C. (WGHP) — A small town in Randolph County is getting ready for a major development that could bring in almost one-third of its population.

That’s because the town of Ramseur falls in the middle of two job hubs: the Toyota battery plant and the Wolfspeed factory.

The almost 82 acres of land along Reed Creek Road will be developed to bring in 511 homes and a hotel. The site is annexed and rezoned.
