KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Make-A-Wish East Tennessee helps grant a wide variety of wishes for children battling critical illnesses. In the last month, some of those wishes include a trip to Disney World,a parrot, and the chance to be a scientist for a day, but a wish they granted this week was a bit more unusual.
Three-year-old Rowan lives with Sanfilippo Syndrome, but on Tuesday, she was the Wish Kid who got her wish granted for a hot tub. Rowan’s parents, Bryan and Blair Begbie told 6 News that Rowan loves being in the water, and that she really just needed a place to unwind every day and do the the thing she loves.
“She’s already spent so much time in it and is gonna love it so much,” Blair Begbie said.

“We feel just blessed in the situation that we’re in, despite what Rowan’s going through and everything that Sanfilippo brings with our family. It’s just an incredible thing for us to have and to be gifted to us,” Brian Begbie added.
