Two Lansing housing complexes work to end red-tags, improve properties

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Two troubled housing complexes in Lansing have initiated significant construction and rehabilitation projects to move hundreds of units from red-tagged to inhabitable.

6 News has reported on the ongoing issues at both Sycamore Townhomes, located in southwest Lansing, and Evergreen Apartments and Townhomes, formerly known as Autumn Ridge, for years.

Officials from both complexes say they are making dramatic changes – but each is pursuing different ways to fund the renovations.
