OCALA, FL (352today) – Volunteers of America of Florida (VOAF), a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to helping vulnerable populations across Florida, is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Give4Marion initiative on September 16-17.
Give4Marion is a community-wide giving day designed to celebrate the generosity and spirit of Marion County residents by supporting local nonprofits that make a meaningful impact. VOAF will be highlighting its Restore the Ritz campaign, a project aimed at ending veteran homelessness in Marion County.
Currently, many veterans in Marion County face the heartbreaking reality of sleeping in cars, tents, or on the streets. Restore the Ritz is committed to providing safe, supportive housing for up to 50 veterans at a time, along with essential services including behavioral and mental health counseling, substance use recovery, peer mentorship, and case management services to help veterans secure permanent housing and employment…
