Stalking Investigation Leads To ‘Trove’ Of Weapons And Drugs In Florida

What began as a stalking investigation led to a Florida man facing a slew of weapons and drug charges, authorities said.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began when they received a complaint about stalking and video voyeurism. Detectives learned that 38-year-old Jared Levi MacDaniels allegedly placed a tracking device on the victim’s vehicle and placed hidden cameras in his home.

Detectives and the sheriff’s office SWAT team, with assistance from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), executed a search warrant at MacDaniels Palm City home and discovered a “trove of weapons and drugs,” as well as a camera hidden behind what appears to be a gold-colored Guy Fawkes mask. Narcotics included LSD, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, THC gummies and “various inhalants.”…
