Video shows 2 masked individuals shove 500-pound safe containing drugs out of pharmacy on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two masked individuals broke into a pharmacy in a popular Eltingville strip mall early Sunday morning, making off with a heavy safe full of controlled substances, police said.

According to the pharmacy’s owner, the thieves spent nearly 30 minutes at the scene and took the bolted-down safe containing approximately $15,000 worth of prescription medications.

The break-in occurred at around 4:45 a.m. at ProCare Pharmacy, located at 4359 Amboy Road, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information…
