AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Cenikor has announced it will discontinue detox, residential, and recovery housing services in Amarillo due to reduction of HHSC funding in the Texas Panhandle.
Cenikor is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing drug rehabilitation and mental health services.
“This is one of the toughest decisions we’ve had to make, as we know how deeply inpatient services have impacted our clients and the community,” said Bill Bailey, president and CEO of Cenikor. “While changes in available funding have required us to adjust services, our dedication to supporting individuals and families in their recovery remains the same. We will continue to provide Outpatient Programs, Prevention Initiatives, and the Youth Recovery Community (YRC), ensuring that people in Amarillo can access outpatient care to succeed in recovery.”…
