A high-speed pursuit in Baton Rouge ended with a car crash and the arrest of four individuals involved in a string of violent activities on Sunday. The incident unfolded early in the morning when a Ford Mustang struck a light pole and flipped on River Road, near Dort Street. Officers from the Louisiana Department of Public Safety responded to the emergency within minutes.
Investigations revealed that the crash was a result of a crime spree carried out by the four occupants of the vehicle. According to the report published by Louisiana State Police, prior to the accident, a series of violent offenses, including carjacking and battery, took place downtown. The suspects forcibly snatched a crossbody bag containing personal belongings and a 9mm pistol from two victims.
