Argenta Contemporary Theatre files suit against 13 former employees

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Drama for the central Arkansas theatre community as the Argenta Contemporary Theatre files a lawsuit against 13 of its former employees who formed a theatre company named Stage 13.

Court records show the complaint against Stage 13 alleges the group committed corporate sabotage and theft against the Argenta Contemporary Theatre (ACT). The group resigned en masse on Aug. 24 from ACT.

The lawsuit, filed online on Sept. 7, asks for a temporary restraining order against Stage 13 to prevent it from beginning classes on Monday, Sept. 8. That same day, Judge Shawn J. Johnson recused from the case and ordered the clerk to assign it to another court.
