Omaha man facing 4th DUI, other charges after leading authorities on pursuit sentenced

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha man who led Nebraska State Troopers on a chase in April was sentenced on Tuesday.

Matthew Silvers, 25, was sentenced to two years in prison for felony DUI. He also received a year in prison for driving with a revoked license.

In June, Silvers pleaded “no contest” to his charges, leading to the additional charge of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest was dropped.

Silvers has three prior DUI convictions; two in 2019, and one in 2021…
