A University of Nebraska regent has been charged with allegedly causing a crash while under the influence, causing life-threatening injuries to a passenger of another vehicle.
Regent Elizabeth O’Connor is accused of causing a crash on May 21 near North 63rd and Blondo streets in Omaha, according to court documents.
O’Connor, driving a Subaru Outback, crashed into a Ford Focus after crossing into oncoming traffic, according to Omaha police and court documents.
The front passenger of the Ford Focus was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The passenger had a broken back and pelvis. O’Connor was also taken to UNMC with minor injuries…
