SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio area has gotten some decent rainfall recently, but the state remains in drought conditions and the city still has water restrictions.
To help San Antonians save water, San Antonio Water Systems is resuming their coupon for people to replace lawn grass with a new bed of qualifying drough-resistant plants. Earlier this year, the agency had recommended “pausing” summer planting in order to encourage water saving.
With the pause lifted, customers can earn up to $500 in coupons for a total of up to four 200 square feet of lawn areas. The program is called the WaterSaver Landscape Coupon. Each coupon is worth $125 in plants from a local nursery. The program runs until Oct. 15…
