Coroner IDs Charleston man dead after wrong-way crash on Don Holt Bridge Saturday

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a local man who died in a wrong-way collision on the Don Holt Bridge in North Charleston early Saturday.

21-year-old Luke Madden from Charleston died on Sept. 6 just after 3 a.m. on the bridge, according to the coroner’s office.

North Charleston police said Saturday that officers were first notified that a vehicle was travelling the wrong direction on I-526 before a second call came in reporting a crash with injuries…
