COLUMBIA, S.C. — Global firearms manufacturer operating a site in northeast Richland County announces it has been awarded a $6.9 million contract to supply machine gun barrels to the US Department of Defense DOD).
FN America, LLC, a subsidiary of Belgium-based FN Herstal, S.A., operates a manufacturing facility off Two Notch Road near Pontiac. The company will be filling orders to the DOD’s Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime for M240 and M249 machine gun barrels spread across nine deliveries.
