ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – One person was injured, and seven were impacted, when a fire tore through a multi-residential building off 32nd Avenue in Anchorage on Monday, according to the Anchorage Fire Department.
Officials say Anchorage Fire Department units were dispatched after smoke was spotted rising into the air. An AFD battalion chief on scene called a second alarm, doubling the resources.
In total, 25 fire units responded, while Anchorage police officers positioned their cruisers to safeguard water supplies and equipment.
