Fishing Vessel Tragedy
Alaska Wildlife Troopers are investigating the death of 27-year-old Baxter Cox of Anchorage, who died September 3 when a steel cod pot struck his head aboard the commercial fishing vessel Halcyon north of Akutan Island. Crew members tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say foul play is not suspected, and an autopsy is pending.
