Medina approves funding for feral cat control

MEDINA, Ohio – The city’s finance committee has agreed to provide $5,000 to nonprofit group Medina Meow Fix to help fund their efforts to reduce feral cat populations in Medina.

Representatives from the organization went before the finance committee last month to ask for the funds. The city had appropriated $5,000 to the organization in September 2023 by way of the Medina County SPCA. When volunteers from Medina Meow Fix would trap, neuter and release feral cats within city limits they would send invoices to the SPCA and the SPCA would refund the organization using money provided by the city to help cover the veterinary bills associated with the program.
