Shuttered Springfield movie theater goes to auction

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) — A piece of Springfield history will soon hit the auction block.

The Capitol Theater has been a fixture in the community for nearly a century, but after it finally shut down in 2018, it hasn’t seen a lot of life.

But hope for the future has been renewed, as the iconic building is now up for sale.
