CLEVELAND — Leon Terrell and Noreonna Echols, the two robbery suspects who allegedly fled from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), leading to one of them being shot by a trooper on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, were arraigned days after being indicted by a grand jury.
Both Terrell and Echols pleaded not guilty to the charges against them on Wednesday. They are scheduled to appear for a pretrial hearing in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on Sept. 22.
According to court documents, Terrell, 18, who was wounded by a trooper, has been charged with the following:
- Four counts of aggravated robbery
- Two counts of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer
- One count of unlawful possession of a dangerous ordinance
- One count of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle
- One count of obstructing official business
