LEXINGTON, S.C. — Drivers, boaters, and pedestrians should prepare for temporary closures around Lake Murray Dam later this month as the annual Dining on the Dam event takes place.
To accommodate the setup and activities, the upper roadway across the dam and the popular pedestrian walkway will be fully closed to vehicles and walkers starting at 6 a.m. on September 21. Traffic will be diverted to the lower roadway. The upper roadway will reopen just after midnight on September 22, while the walkway will reopen later that morning.
Boaters should also be aware of changes. The Dominion Energy Public Park boat ramp and parking area on the Irmo side of Lake Murray will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, and will remain closed until 6 a.m. on Monday, September 22…
