Uber driver’s quick thinking helps Sacramento deputies detain armed teen

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento Uber driver is being credited for her quick thinking after alerting deputies to a passenger carrying a rifle during a ride on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. near the 2300 block of Arden Way. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the woman driver noticed one of her passengers armed with a rifle.

Remaining calm, she made an excuse to stop at a nearby business. Once safely away from the vehicle, she asked someone inside the business to call 911…
