Swim school owner asks for help amid ongoing drug activity outside business

(FOX40.COM) — The owner of Little Whale Swim School on Broadway is asking Sacramento city leaders for help to address the ongoing drug activity surrounding her business.

Owner Anya Hall has documented needles scattered in the parking lot and people using drugs in plain sight in just the first few months after the school opened its new location in May. The swim school opened next door to Hope Cooperative, which provides mental health and substance use services to the unhoused.

“Monday’s incident was here,” Hall said. “It was definitely an illegal substance.”…
