CHULA VISTA, Calif. — A Chula Vista labor and delivery doctor who appeared on CBS’s “The Amazing Race” and is currently serving medical probation for gross negligence now faces a lawsuit for misperforming a hysterectomy without supervision, as required by the medical board.
On Jan. 22, 2024, the California Medical Board placed Chula Vista Labor and Delivery doctor Rick Chac on 35 months of probation due to allegations that he was negligent in the medical treatment of three pregnant women from 2017 through 2019.
