Tampa Teen On Electric Dirt Bike Dies After Collision With SUV In Spring Hill

Florida Highway Patrol reports the 17-year-old failed to stop and collided with a vehicle stopped in traffic in Spring Hill.

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A Tampa teenager has died from injuries sustained in a collision while riding an electric dirt bike, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 9, at approximately 3:27 PM on Barclay Avenue, just south of Suncoast Villa Way.

According to the FHP report, a 17-year-old male was traveling northbound on Barclay Avenue on a Talaria electric dirt bike. Ahead of him, a GMC Acadia driven by a 56-year-old woman from Spring Hill was also heading northbound but was stopped in traffic…
