BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man who killed his disabled son in 2020 was sentenced to 10 years at hard labor Monday.
Court records show Ellsworth Hull, 83, took a plea deal for a lesser charge of manslaughter in August. He was indicted on a second-degree murder charge in July 2020.
Hull was arrested in February 2020 after officers responded to a Shelley Street home on Valentine’s Day, where Derrick Christophe, 40, was found dead in a bathtub. Christophe was identified as Hull’s mentally handicapped son…
