CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi is eyeing a $169 million deal that could reshape the city’s water future but it won’t come without a fight.

City leaders met this week with Evangeline Water to hash out terms for piping in 24 million gallons of water a day from San Patricio County. The potential supply boost comes as our lakes run dangerously low.
