A two-alarm fire broke out early Tuesday inside a vacant house on South Carrollton Avenue near Jeanette Street, the New Orleans Fire Department said. Firefighters were called shortly before 4 a.m. to the 1500 block of South Carrollton, where flames had spread to the attic, according to photos released by the department. The blaze was declared under control at 6:03 a.m.
The home, which is for sale, has caught fire previously. While vacant, neighbors told officials that squatters had been seen inside.
No injuries were reported, and the damage was contained to the single house…
