RENO, Nev. — Three people were arrested in Reno in connection to a vehicle burglary and fraudulent credit card charges.
On September 1, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) Patrol Division responded to a vehicle burglary report at the Hunter Creek Trailhead in Reno. The incident was discovered after the vehicle owner was alerted to fraudulent charges by their credit card company. Upon returning to their vehicle, they found the passenger-side window broken and two bags missing, which contained two computers, AirPods, credit cards, and other personal items.
Patrol deputies initiated a report and followed up at local businesses where the stolen credit cards were used, obtaining surveillance footage. The victim was able to track their AirPods to an apartment complex on Wedekind Road.
