Community demands protection: 60 groups urge leaders to uphold rights and transparency

SPOKANE, Wash. — A collective of 60 community organizations and churches are demanding that local and state leaders protect immigrants and advocates. They even have some ideas on how it can be done.

The community collective put out a list of seven demands for state and local governments and law enforcement. This all comes after a June 11 protest over the detainment of two men, which led to several more arrests.
