Woman accused of leaving toddlers alone in car outside Rivers Avenue store

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A 30-year-old woman is facing two counts of child endangerment after police said she left her young children alone in a car.

Obdulia Lopez is accused of leaving the children, aged one and three, unattended in a vehicle for about half an hour with the windows rolled up outside a Rivers Avenue store, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

When officers arrived, the vehicle was already leaving the parking lot. After stopping the driver, officers found four children under the age of three in the backseat, adding that none of them were restrained with seat belts or car seats…
