Restaurants Craftsman, East Egg Portage both announce closures

PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — Two side-by-side restaurants in Portage have closed their doors.

The Craftsman Chop Company and East Egg Portage, both located on Sears Drive near Romence Road, announced their closures on social medial Tuesday.

“After almost 20 years, the Craftsman and East Egg are closing their doors,” bothposts say. “If you’ve dined with us, drank with us, laughed with us, or cried with us in the last 20 years, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. … (We) have so many of you in our minds as we cross this path and we wish we could reach out to all of you individually. You have made the Craftsman and the East Egg truly something special.”
