Florida Man with Extensive Drug History Back in Jail After Violating Pre-Trial Release

LAKELAND, Fla. – A 52-year-old Lakeland man with a lengthy criminal history, including two prior sentences for methamphetamine trafficking, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Rahja David Davis was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for violation of pre-trial release. The initial charge stemmed from a previous arrest for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

According to a report from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified of the warrant and went to a residence on Country Woods Drive in Lakeland at approximately 3:13 p.m. When they arrived, they found Davis in the front yard. He was arrested immediately and without incident…
