ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One day after a border patrol investigation in Rochester which prompted protests throughout the city, a local attorney claims a group of roofers who were allegedly injured on the job are now facing deportation after filing suit.
Attorney Albert Parisi of Parisi & Bellavia Law explained the three roofers were sub-contracted by a local roofing company to install a roof on a home in the Rochester area. He claims they fell off the roof and each of them broke multiple bones.
Parisi said once they sought legal counsel and as their case has progressed in the courts, the plaintiffs now potentially face deportation. He added that this is not the only case of its kind and that many newly arrived immigrants opt for roofing as their first jobs in the U.S…
