Firefighters intervene after stabbing at San Marcos supermarket, officials say

A man was arrested after a stabbing at a supermarket in San Marcos on Wednesday, officials said.

It happened at the Stater Bros. in the 1300 block of East Mission Road at around 12:20 p.m.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, a group of people was shopping at the store together when a heated argument broke out among the group. Authorities say a man, identified as 20-year-old Edwin Mendoza, took out a knife and attacked another male in the group, leaving him with life-threatening injuries…
