Hero Day raises awareness of childhood cancer

The second-annual Hero Day event raised awareness of childhood cancer on Sunday.

“For Hero Day, we are honoring the heroes among us that are children and teens battling childhood cancer,” organizer Naomi Quick said. “What we’re trying to do is just equip the community with ways that they can easily join the battle against childhood cancer, by meeting practical needs like blood donations and hair donations.”
