Port Allen man gets 40 years for deadly 2019 gas station shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Port Allen man was sentenced Friday to 40 years in prison after a deadly 2019 shooting that left one man dead.

According to court records, Antonio Watts, 28, withdrew his not-guilty plea and pleaded guilty to four charges, including manslaughter, armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison, with all counts running concurrently.
