It’s unusual for police to be called about a missing pigeon. But in Irving, Texas, officers recently reunited a wayward bird with its worried owner — and the whole thing was caught on bodycam.
Kevin, a pet pigeon, took an unexpected trip after ending up in the back of a customer’s truck, the Irving Police Department said. His owner, who raises pigeons, quickly suspected that’s where Kevin had gone after he went missing.
When officers stopped by the customer’s home, their body camera shows them asking if they could take a quick look in the truck bed. “I’m about to tell you probably the weirdest thing you’ve ever heard in your life,” one of the officers says.
