Cops hunt for assailant who raped woman at knifepoint in Bronx hotel room

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman was violently raped inside a Bronx hotel room last month, and police on Thursday released surveillance video of the suspect to elicit the public’s help in locating him.

The assault took place inside a room at the Hotel OPUS, located at 1440 East 222nd St. in the East Bronx, at about 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, police said.

Authorities said that a man entered the room with a 25-year-old woman, at which point he pulled out a knife, demanded she cooperate and stole $400 from her wallet…
