Six Arrested in Polk County for Alleged Hit-and-Run Fatality and Concealment of Victim

Six individuals have been apprehended by the Polk County Sheriff’s deputies after an incident that culminated in a 21-year-old man’s death, suspected to be caused by a hit-and-run and subsequent concealment of the body. According to a release published by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the event transpired at the Willow Oak Mobile Home Park in the early Sunday morning.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene following a distress call and discovered that the victim had sustained injuries consistent with being run over by a vehicle. The incident was believed to have occurred during a party where alcohol was consumed by the attendees, and a witness claimed to have observed the victim lying on the driveway prior to being struck. Ponciano Cinto-Ramirez, aged 52, was alleged to have reversed a van over the victim and left the scene, despite being warned by onlookers.

The response team, having arrived at the scene, engaged with several individuals who were inside a trailer and had initially refused to exit.
