The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a homicide in Ramona, where an individual was shot and later died from their injuries this past Sunday.
Deputies from the Ramona Sheriff’s Substation were dispatched to the scene on the 700 block of Eighth Street at around 2:35 PM, where they found Felipe Ascencio, a resident of Ramona, inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound; despite prompt medical attention, Ascencio was pronounced deceased.
