Mall shooting suspect’s father indicted on drug trafficking charges

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The father of an Oglethorpe Mall shooting suspect was indicted Wednesday for drug trafficking and other charges, according to the Chatham District Attorney’s (DA) Office.

Franklin James is the 46-year-old father of one of the youngest suspects in high profile case, 16-year-old Franklin James, and was charged with six drug, firearm and property damage charges June 15, an official told WSAV Thursday.

He was indicted by a Chatham County grand jury on all counts this week…
