Crossing guard arrested in Monroe, claimed he was ‘dating’ 13-year-old

MONROE, Mich. — An adult crossing guard was arrested in Monroe last month after he was allegedly seen in “intimate contact” with a young girl, Monroe police said in a Facebook post Thursday.

According to the post, Monroe authorities were contact after a caller reported seeing an “older-looking male subject” in a parked vehicle near the MLK Jr. Pedestrian Bridge at 9:42 p.m. on Aug. 30. The caller said the man was “possibly engaging in intimate contact with a younger female” inside the vehicle.

A Monroe detective responded to the scene and located the two people: a 13-year-old girl and a 23-year-old man. Police eventually took the man into custody and began questioning him…
