University of Toledo students swarmed by spotted lanternflies this fall

TOLEDO, Ohio — Students at the University of Toledo say the campus feels overrun by bugs this fall, and one invasive insect in particular is to blame.

Spotted lanternflies, an invasive species originally from Asia, are swarming the area, often landing on students as they walk between classes.
