More than 2,000 containers need to be removed from Toledo chemical storage facility

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – More than 2,000 containers need to be removed from a Toledo chemical storage facility and the EPA still has to identify what’s in them.

The massive cleanup is underway at a Nebraska Avenue facility that was shut down by Toledo firefighters in 2024. It’s a cleanup that will go well into 2026.
